I have heard different people say different things. I have heard some say that law school was the hardest thing that they have ever done, then I hear others say that it really was not that bad if you stay focused. So who is right?

Anyone that says it was an easy task must not be that interested in what they are doing. In order to succeed in this major you have to be willing to put blood sweat and tears into it. I am a second year law school student and all I do is study so be prepared to live for studying.

I agree. I really don’t know who told you that law school was easy but obviously they are a genius or are simply squeaking by. If you really want to get somewhere with your law degree you’ll have to study almost 24/7

Thank you both for your responses. I really wondered how anyone could say that it was easy since I know that to maintain my GPA in high school even takes a bit of studing to make it. I am really a hardworker so I don't know why I am so nervous about picking law as my career goal.

I think that as long as you are willing to work for it then you will have no problem of achieving your goal of having a career in law.

My Uncle is a Lawyer and he said it can be very stressful and time consuming. He has given me a lot of advice over the years and encouragement. My Uncle said that law school is not easy and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. After listening to his experiences I think it is going to be a lot of work.

I am sure that if you want to excell, you are going to have to put forth much effort, even if you are a quick study. In this filed, if you don't learn it in school, you are going to have to work that much harder in order to be effective in your career. You also want to be prepared for the bar

Law is a difficult major. It takes a lot of time, patience and hard work. But if you are willing to give it your all you will be rewarded in the end. It is a great filling in the end when you finish and you are finally a lawyer!!!

It is important to remember that the farther along you get in schooling the more concentrated and time consuming the work becomes. While law school amy not be hard for some people, even the brightest will tell you it takes up almost all of their free time, In order to stay at the top of your class and be able to reach your goals, you have to be willing to do the work, put in the time, and read, read, read, even more than is assigned!!

Law school is not conceptually difficult, it is the volume of work that makes law school challenging. It is nearly impossible to memorize every point of law or brief every case assigned; successful students learn how to extract the most important details and do just enough to earn a top grade.
