Online scholarships

I was just wondering if any of you have signed up to websites that you can apply for scholarships online. I know of scholarships.com and fastweb.com, but I have not signed up to any of these.

I looked at these sites and I wonder what the odds are of actually winning a scholarship. I also noticed that it is a lot of essay writing. I am just wondering how many other people are applying also.

you can usually tell if online scholarships are real if you had heard about said scholarship from people you know (and trust), or if you heard about the scholarship through the mail.
